How do I plant my tree?

Step 1:

Make a planting hole twice the size of the tree's root ball/pot.

Step 2:

Break up the walls of the dug hole with the shovel.

Step 3:

Add a planting hole improver if required.

Step 4:

Plant the tree as high as it was in the container.

Step 5:

Make a raised border around the tree with soil for easy watering.

Step 6:

Place two tree stakes a 30cm from the tree and attach them to the stakes with natural binding material.

Step 7:

Clear a 1-metre diameter tree bed of plantings and keep it that way for the first few years.

Step 8:

During the dry period, water densely, on average 10 litres once a week. If in doubt, always contact us.

A planting leaflet is included with every delivery.

Advice:

The average walnut tree does not like a wet location, so make sure you plant it at a slightly higher spot in your garden so that the tree does not end up in a puddle of water during the winter.

About Lange van Lod

Walnut tree Juglans regia Lange van Lod was found in Venlo (Netherlands). It is characterised by loose growth with a somewhat open tree shape and its self-pollination. The tree has green leaves and blooms mid-late. The tree is often planted by private people but is also grown on a small scale in plantations. The tree can reach a height of more than 15 metres after 20 years.

    Zügige Leiferung, sehr gute Verpackung. Baum wuchs gut an. Der erste Winter wurde gut überstanden,nach dem zweiten Winter,der sehr mild war, wurden keine Blätter mehr gebildet und der Baum ging ein. Die Wurzel war nicht abgefressen, Obstbäume in der nähe und auch ein etwa 15 jahre alter Walnußbaum wuchsen normal

    Ich hatte 2021 zwei Walnussbäume der Sorte Juglas regia Lange van Lod gekauft, beide Bäume sind wunderbar angewachsen und tragen 2022 auch schon Nüsse in beachtlicher Größe.

    Ich hatte im vorigen Jahr schon den Walnussbaum,,Lange van Lod " bestellt und dieses Jahr zum verschenken noch einen. Es ist die größte Nuss die derzeit auf den Markt ist. Beide Bäume waren super verpackt und wunderbar gewachsen. Wir konnten vom gepflanzten Baum im Vorjahr sogar schon die 1.Nuss ernten, sie war 7 cm groß.
    Klappt alles super !
